CASTELLANOS Y ECHEVARRÍA –VITORIA S.A, THE SPANISH COMPANY FROM VITORIA HAS BEEN OFFERING SOLUTIONS FOR WELD PREPARATION SINCE 1969. IN THIS CASE THE COMPANY WAS OFFERING ITS MACHINERY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY.
The company Oxiacero S.A.U. from Zaragoza has an annual production capacity of 60,000T of steel. Its activity is specialized in the cutting of steel plates up to a thickness of 500 mm and the distribution of carbon steel plates in a variety of qualities and thicknesses. In constant growth and with a modern machine park, Oxiacero is carrying out an interesting project in the field of construction machinery: the production of tooth designs for excavator buckets. The material of the peeling strips and teeth must be very resistant, since loading and separating work, excavation, demolition and digging result in high abrasion. For this reason, ROC 400 is used here, because although the material is extremely hard, it has excellent cold bending properties. For the production of the bevels, Oxiacero counted on CEVISA and rented our demonstration machine, the CHP 60G INV, for a week to produce bevels at a 60 degree angle in 400 components, which in this case also do not serve for weld-preparation, but is an essential geometry of the component.
